Dale Lynn
Education:
I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1998 at Indiana University Medical Center; Indianapolis, IN.
Business Experience:
I established Lynn’s Occupational Therapy, my private practice from 1999 to 2018: Lynn Occupational Therapy, LLC, 1003 Burlew Boulevard, Unit C, Owensboro, KY 42303; The practice specialized in Pediatric, School-based, Home Health, and Clinical Occupational Therapy practice.
Professional Leadership:
Since April 2023 I have served as Chairman of the Kentucky Medicaid Therapy Technical Advisory Committee. I formally served as the Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association President from 2012 to 2018. As Daviess county business owner, I served as a Committee Member on the Green River Home Health Advisory Board in Daviess County, Kentucky, as an Advisory Committee Member of the Madisonville Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, Madisonville, KY. and also as an Advisory Committee Member of the Spalding University’s, Auerbach Masters in Occupational Therapy Program, Louisville KY.
Other past experiences included serving as the Western District Co-Chair for the Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association from September 2002 to September 2004 after which I served as the Legislative Chair from November 2006 to March 2008. I was appointed and served as a Board Member on the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy from October 2004 to July 2006, and re-appointed in July 2008 through March 2011. I also served on the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy as the Kentucky Ambassador.
Community Volunteering:
I have volunteered, (along with my daughter), at the Ohio County Equestrian Association from July 2001 to 2008. In the past, I have presented at numerous colleges and conferences on the topics of Kentucky Occupational Therapy regulations; Occupational Therapy serving the pediatric population, and establishing an O.T. Private Practice.
Personal Legacy:
I was fortunate to be raised by parents who taught me that my actions, values, and accomplishments can not only make an impact on the world but also be a way to show my professional peers and family who I am and what I care about.
