Scott Gardner is a dedicated physical therapist and passionate advocate for advancing the profession of physical therapy. With 28 years of experience in clinical practice and leadership, Scott is committed to addressing key issues such as reimbursement reform, reducing barriers to patient access, and promoting clinician determinants of health.

Scott is the founder and president of the United Physical Therapy Association (UPTA), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization launched in 2024.  The UPTA seeks to amplify the advocacy efforts for clinicians and patients alike.

Recognizing the interconnectedness of healthcare professions, Scott emphasizes collaboration and unity not only within physical therapy but also across related fields such as speech therapy and occupational therapy. He believes that by working together, these professions can more effectively address common challenges and enhance patient care.

As a private practice owner, Scott enjoys building relationships with colleagues, mentoring new professionals, and working on innovative strategies to support his physical therapy practice. He draws inspiration from the mentorship he received early in his career.

Scott holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and continues to dedicate his career to improving the healthcare landscape for both clinicians and patients.
