Private Practice Consulting: Exposing the Myths

I want to expose the truth behind a myth that I have been hearing for years: Consulting is expensive. I want to laugh at that because while it’s true that consulting is expensive, so is failure. I’ve been in practice for 31 years and I’ve made a lot of mistakes. Each of those mistakes has cost me time and money.

When I wanted to expand my practice while avoiding those mistakes, I chose to find somebody who would train me so that I knew how to run my practice. That way, I wouldn’t have to hire somebody else who knew how to do the job. Or I could have chosen to hire somebody who knew how but if they ever left me, I would lose that knowledge right along with them.

In Running a Practice, Time and Knowledge Are Money

Yes, time is money. Knowledge is money. I had to pay to learn that. We paid to go to school to be therapists—that was expensive. Now it’s time to learn how to be CEO of our company. When I started this journey, it was going to cost time and money I didn’t have a lot of. On the other hand, it was the only way I could avoid mistakes that were going to cause a loss of time and money.

Do you want your business to grow smoothly because you learned how to run your practice? As you make this journey to successful practice owner, you’ll be surrounded by other people who are on the same journey as you. You can all have thriving successful, stable practices when you learn how.

This easier road is going to take time, but it’ll save you time in the future. It might cost money now, but it’ll cost less money in the long run. You can avoid all the errors that you would make by not knowing how to run your practice.
